IS INTERMITTENT FASTING DIFFICULT. NOT AT ALL.

When it is mentioned that all of us should restrict food intake to 8 hours in a day and fast for 16 hours, the impression created is that it must bee painful to be without food for as many 16 hours in a day.
Normally that may be the view because most of us are habitual of having minimum three full meals and many a snacks in between every day, which does immense damage to our bodies. With the culture of very late dinner and even midnight snack, even the thought of not having food may look difficult. Not only that, there have been medical advice also that one should not miss meals and the result is tendency to have food virtually non-stop in our waking hours, all seven days in a week.
Even I felt strange when this concept of intermittent fasting was mentioned to me about two months ago. But when one is introduced to fat based eating, technically called ketogenic diet, the difficulty totally disappears. What is suggested in the fat based diet is that more than 50 percent of your calories come in the form of fat intake and the rest in carbohydrates and proteins. In some cases food intake consists of even 85 to 90 percent in fats. If food intake is fat based, the hunger disappears.
I did not believe it till I started taking fat based diet. In my case it consisted of two serving spoons of coconut oil, two serving spoons of flaxseed oil, lot of Ghee and fresh paneer in the first meal of the day. I felt so full entire day that at the time of next meal I had no urge for food. With this food, I started going without food for even 24 hours, without any hunger or any difficulty at all. In the process, intermittent fasting was natural and normal. 
Within days the body adapts so well that I remained on one meal a day for more than a month, without any difficulty, without any problems whatsoever. What is required is change of diet and it results into wonderful changes in ones life and living.
