When it is mentioned that all of us should restrict food intake to 8 hours in a day and fast for 16 hours, the impression created is that it must bee painful to be without food for as many 16 hours in a day. Normally that may be the view because most of us are habitual of having minimum three full meals and many a snacks in between every day, which does immense damage to our bodies. With the culture of very late dinner and even midnight snack, even the thought of not having food may look difficult. Not only that, there have been medical advice also that one should not miss meals and the result is tendency to have food virtually non-stop in our waking hours, all seven days in a week. Even I felt strange when this concept of intermittent fasting was mentioned to me about two months ago.
